Black Cat Weapon Design

This is a prop design from my Concept and Production class. In this project, we had to take a poem or short story and turn it into a film idea. I chose Edgar Allan Poe's "The Black Cat." For the prop design we had to create something that didn't already exist or buy in a store. An unusual item. So this is a double bladed hatchet equipped with a saw blade. This is the murder weapon the main character uses to kill his wife.
